Most of us are aware of the effects of exercise on our bodies, but an equal benefit is the positive impact that exercise has on the brain: from helping improve memory and learning to staving off ailments from depression to dementia.
This is a terrific reminder and incentive to workout if you need a little motivation.
Beware, however, Ratey takes great pains to present a lot of the research which, whilst beneficial, if you are so inclined, can also be tiresome. I would have preferred a much more readable version, but the research is useful if you want to take the initiative to do some further research yourself.
Overall, a recommended book if you need to be incentivised to get active.
